PROJECTS: The York House

DESCRIPTION: 

As the Design Architect for the renovation of the former 8-story landmarked Chase Apartments into The York House, a new 33 unit luxury apartment residence with a historic lobby, private libary bar, drawing room, and penthouse in St. Louis, Missouri, our firm also provided Interior Design, Landscape Design, and Branding and Marketing Consultant services.  

Chase Apartments was built in 1922 with a lavish attention to detail and with the generous proportions of prewar construction. The design was developed with this in mind while restoring and refining the spaces to enhance today's living needs.  

Upstairs, the residences have grand living and dining spaces along with large eat-in kitchens. Old details such as the stained glass windows and elephant crown moldings were rehabilitated. On the ground floor, we created amenities such as the Library Bar, a nod to the literary history of the locale where residents are provided with their exclusive private liquor cabinet, and a light-filled Drawing Room, where residences can enjoy the day's newspaper or plan an event with friends and family.  

As Branding and Marketing Consultants, we designed the “YH” brand logo and custom wallpaper incorporating the brand into its design, together with the unique narrative that makes The York House special.
