PROJECTS: The NoLib Hotel

LOCATION: Philadelphia, PA

SIZE: 100,000 sq ft

SCOPE: Architecture

STATUS: Proposed

DESCRIPTION:

A proposal for a local developer to build a 75-key boutique hotel and restaurant in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia. The site is located at an abandoned bottling plant. Building on the history of the site, our proposal creates a ground floor amenity level, a roof garden, and a double loaded tower whose set back façade is made from 783,000 green recycled bottles, suspended in a system of unitized panels, and performing as a solar shade and rain screen.
